My girlfriend and I stayed at Secrets Maroma beach last July. After reading the articles about the young man who died I somehow came across this site. I read many comments and I realized that we too had been drugged. It was our first day there and at check in we were given a welcome margarita, it wasn't too long after that when we went to our room and passed out until 7 am the next morning, having no recollection of what happened. We never made it to dinner on our first night of vacation,. The first thing we joked when we woke up was "I think that we were drugged" Well after reading these comments, I have no doubt that that is exactly what happened. Thankfully we were not assaulted or robbed that we know of but neither one of us will ever be returning to Mexico. It's just not worth it.
